Lately the evenings and mornings have been feeling a lot like fall. This summer we haven’t gotten that really hot and humid 90 degree weather that we usually get in August. Although I’m not quite ready for fall to be here, it seems that my knitting has shifted to fall wear. I had the privilege to take part in my very first test knit; pattern: Summer into Fall by Lisa Chemery All of the knits she designs are for infants and children. Her patterns are great and so versatile. I’m already planning my next fall knit and it’s one of her designs.
This one is a little jumper dress. It was such a fun knit, I couldn’t seem to put it down. I had it knit up in just 2 short days.
It is a little long on Joelle, but I made it one size up (18 months) than she is in now so it will fit her perfectly this fall and winter. I picture her wearing leggings underneath with a cute printed top. I love this color too- it’s Nice and Knit worsted weight in vineyard color. I just a little over one skein for this size. I couldn’t make up my mind on the color choice, but I’m really happy with how it looks on little Joey.
