Easter Knits

It was Joelle’s first Easter so she had to have a super cute and girly outfit.  I was so excited to find a dress given to her by my sister in her closet that fit her.  It was the perfect spring dress, but it was sleeveless.  Yes, the weather is warming up, but not that warm.  So after searching through some patterns I found a simple, yet very darling, shrug (Mini Ballerina) that would complete her outfit.  It was an enjoyable knit- quick, cute and the end result was so precious.  It is probably my favorite knit so far.

I had this color way in my stash- Madelintosh dk in fragrant.  The pattern called for sport weight so since I had a little heavier weight yarn on hand I went down a size (3-6 months) and it worked well.

Not only did Joelle have a new knit to wear, but I did as well.  I wore my newly cast off Harvest cardigan.  Its a great pattern, entirely seamless, worked from the top down.  This is a great cardigan to throw on whether you want to dress it up or down.  I choose to knit my 3/4 sleeve.
