I used this little project basket last week to tote around my latest project- a cute washcloth. This is one of two Bolgatanga Market baskets I own. I love these baskets. They are hand woven by a group of women in Ghana whose mission is to earn good incomes in order to care for their children and put meals on their tables.
This washcloth is a spin on the regular old granny dishcloth. It is knit is the same manner as the tradition washcloth, but this one adds some fun with a picot edge. The pattern is Picot Edge Baby Blanket and Washcloth by Churchmouse Yarns and Teas. The pattern gives directions for plain or picot edge baby blanket and the picot edge washcloth. I knit this using Plymouth Yarn- Whitney, a cotton/nylon blend.
