The next few days I’ll be sharing my Christmas knitting projects.
Kelly wanted a slouchy hat. So I began searching Ravelry for a hat pattern big enough to fit all of her hair. I came across this Wurm pattern. It’s quite popular- there have been over 8,000 projects knit. The pattern is free too. The brim is doubled up, kind of hard to explain but basically you knit a bunch of rows then purl one row. Then you bring up the cast on edge and fold it on the purl bumps and then knit the cast on edge with the stitches on the needle. I can’t explain it very well, but the pattern was easy to follow. The result is awesome and I think it will prevent the hat from stretching out.
