Busy Mom Knitting

Life with two kids is a lot different than life was with one.  But, I’m not complaining.  I still try and find a little time for myself to do things I enjoy.  It doesn’t happen everyday.  Lately I have been trying to find patterns that don’t require much concentration and smaller projects like mittens, hats and cowls.  I started the Barbara Cowl last night with some Malabrigo Rios yarn I’ve had in my stash for well over two years.  I don’t know why I didn’t use it sooner- I love the color and it is extra soft, perfect winter accessory yarn.  Cant wait to wrap this cowl ’round my neck.

IMG_8840It is a simple slipped stitch ribbing with only two rows to memorize its great for picking up and working a few rows here and there without fear of messing up or needing to concentrate much.

IMG_8839The cowl is knit flat like a scarf then seamed at the end to make a big loop infinity cowl that can be wrapped around twice.
